CLIFFS OF MOHER WEDDINGS

THE CLIFFS & THE BURREN

The Cliffs of Moher are a popular spot for Elopements and it’s easy to see why. There are 9 miles of sea cliffs, located in County Clare. From here you can see several iconic places, like the Aran Islands, the Maumturks and Twelve Pins mountain, and Loop Head. The views are immense.  They are romantic and wild with changing light and weather. The unpredictability of the cliffs adds to the romance and the adventure. The cliffs are calling!

Such a brilliant choice for your Destination Wedding to Ireland.

CEREMONIES ON THE CLIFFS

At the southernmost point of the cliffs of Moher, Hag’s Head, outdoor ceremonies are held. We have private access through a local farm for a small fee.  Here we can have legal or symbolic ceremonies and Leeona @ Twin Flames can perform both.

We also have an indoor option for your Cliffs of Moher wedding for smaller groups. With the private access to the Cliffs there is a lovely stone barn that has been modernised and is the perfect back up for you elopement ceremony and after you can go out to he Cliffs to get those amazing images.

CORCOMROE ABBEY AND THE BURREN

Close by is The Burren National Park which is located in the south-eastern corner of the Burren, covers approximately 1500 hectares, and boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. The word “Burren” comes from an Irish word “Boíreann”, which means a rocky place. It’s perfect for walking and enjoying the calm and peace of nature. It also creates a unique backdrop for photo and film for your Ireland Elopement.

Located in this National Park, there’s Corcomroe Abbey, a 13th-century monastery ruin. Its dramatic and romantic appearance brings couples from all over the world to celebrate their love and share their vows in this film-worthy setting! It’s a great location for a photo shoot where you can have your ceremony at the cliffs, which is a 40 minute drive away.

There is also an indoor option for a legal ceremony in the Burren; Newtown castle. This is a 16th-century tower with a rustic feel. Again it’s close to the cliffs and Corcomroe Abbey for a shoot after!
