We have listed some below but there are literally hundreds of options! There are also several beautiful manor houses where you can stay, surrounded by nature, which are perfect for morning preparation shoots and elegant ceremonies.

CASTLES IN IRELAND

Dromoland Castle, the jewel in the wests crown, is five-star and one of the most romantic venues in Europe. World famous for its idyllic setting and incredible views, it’ll definitely turn your elopement into a day of pure magic!

Kinnity Castle is a great option too as its a lovely castle hotel but very relaxed and on gorgeous wild grounds with a courtyard for summer time fun.

Newtown Castle is a 16th-century tower, that is an excellent choice for your ceremony close to the cliffs of Moher. It’s also an arts center with a lovely quirky vibe. It can be your wedding venue or if you prefer, your photoshoot location after the ceremony.

Screebe House is a luxury country house and wedding venue is also another fantastic location in Connemara. Set on the coast with beautiful grounds, it is the perfect location for an intimate ceremony. It’s Idyllic location, it is the perfect spot for exploring Connemara.

Cahernane country house is also one of our favourites. Its set in majestic Killarney and has a gorgeous relaxed feel but all the charm and history of a castle.

There are many beautiful ancient castle ruins dotted around the west of Ireland, which make epic backdrops to your photos and film.
