Clifden castle is situated a 2 hour drive from Galway city out in Connemara this castle ruin provides an epic backdrop for a ceremony and photos.

Corcomroe Abbey ruins in the Burren is a fantastic place for a legal elopement ceremony and is a short drive from the Cliffs of Moher making it a popular choice.

Rathborney church ruins in the Burren is another lovely spot for a legal ceremony.

RUSTIC CASTLES

There are many budget friendly castle venues with a more rustic charm but with that ancient and historic appearance and feeling. Some have accommodation so you can also stay. They are great options for your Irish castle elopement.

Cloonacauneen castle is a stunning 15th century Norman castle situated on outskirts of Galway city in idyllic country side surroundings.

Newtown Castle is a 16th-century tower, that is an excellent choice for your ceremony close to the cliffs of Moher.

HIGH END CASTLES

Ireland is famous for world class castle venues. These are some of the more well known but there are SO many more.
